《春》一诗选自纳什为宫廷娱乐所作的喜剧《维尔.塞默的遗言》(Will Summer's Testament)，韵律主要是五步扬格，韵式是aaab,cccb,dddb三节最后一行是叠句(refrain)；每节中除末一行外，其他三行都用腹韵(leonine rhyme)，即第二音步的第二个词同第五音步末尾的词协韵。

Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,

The palm and may make country houses gay,

Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day,

And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay,

The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,
